Behind the lens
How a Luce shoot comes together.
Real footage from a studio day: lights set, camera tethered, models on the backdrop. You see every frame as it is shot, so we adjust together before anyone goes home.
- iLight the setStrobes and a large softbox shaped to the subject and the garment, not a one-size setup.
- iiShoot tetheredThe camera feeds straight to a laptop, so focus, fit and colour are checked live on a big screen.
- iiiDirect the modelPoses and movement are guided frame by frame until the shot matches the brief.
- ivEdit and deliverA tight, consistent edit in your brand's look, ready for web, social and print.

About
Ciao, I’m Nick.
I started Luce to make photographs that feel considered. I care about clean light, a clear point of view and a finished edit that looks like it belongs to one brand.
Most of my work is apparel and product. I shoot campaigns, lookbooks and detail work in studio and on the street, and I bring the same approach to portraits, cars at night and travel through northern Italy.
I come to every shoot with a plan: a shot list, a lighting idea and a clear sense of how the images will be used. You get a tight edit, delivered on time.

Light first, then everything else.
Every shoot starts with the same question: where is the light coming from, and what does it want to show? The answer sets the location, the time of day and the frame.

- PortraitHeadshots, personal branding and editorial portraits for individuals and small teams.
- AutomotiveCars and riders at golden hour or under night light.
